DO NOT RENT HERE

*UPDATE* it has been 2 weeks and nobody has even contacted us from the property and they wont answer any of the phone calls.

*!*RENTER BEWARE*!* I have been a tenant for over a year now and this has by far been the worst place! The office never answers the phone and maintenance requests are never completed OR they mark the job completed but dont do anything. Im pretty sure the upstairs unit has had a leak the whole time ive lived here, ive put in multiple requests and everytime i was told it...
was water damage not mold and they would paint over it and put spackle. The most recent time maintenance came in and didnt even complete the job! they put spackle said theyd come sand it down and paint over it.....its been a couple months now and still no update. Im pretty sure it started off as water damage but now i know for a fact its mold because fuzzies are popping out of my ceiling. Oh not to mention maintenance tore up my floors in November/December said theyd send someone out to replace them all for the company to come by and not do anything but look at the floor and say they cant fix it. On top of that I have been charged renters insurance even though i already pay it through an approved third party, ive had to resubmit that information multiple times for them to just continue to ask for it and still charge me. Honestly I am glad my lease is ending soon because never again will i pay this high of rent for no amentities, HORRIBLE maintenance, and a leasing office that never seems to be around

Keep looking

If you can afford to live here, you can afford to keep looking. When I moved here a year ago, I gave the benefit of the doubt that the negative reviews were the result of people with unrealistic expectations. No rental is prefect, right? I also had previously lived at another property owned by the same company, so I felt comfortable assuming they would meet the same standards.

I was mistaken.

There is a reason they have no more than 2.5/5 stars on any rating with more than 3 reviewers. Bugs....
Mildew/mold. Smells. Garbage. Everywhere (just as much left by contractors hired by the property as by other tenants). The people at the leasing office are super nice... until you have an issue or a complaint and need them to actually do something.

Trust the reviews. Keep looking.

Beware of infestations horrible!

Roaches, noise and over flowing gutters where bugs breed. Not worth it. Trust me you will be very upset moving into this nightmare. Did I forget about the rats, not mice, but rats on balcony?

Great place to live

Pines Of Newpinte in all honesty is a great place to live. For most people that is. I personally like the place. It's not too loud. Not a dangerous neighborhood. There's a lot of military so weekend partying is common. I'm 23 years old so it doesn't bother me. Things I like most are the fact that my 3 bedroom has 3 full baths and for an amazing price. Can't be beaten honestly. Not with 3 baths and a loft and balcony. Cons if these apply to you are that there's no actual amenities as far as... actual activities. Yes there's a W/D in the unit but no pool, fitness area, playground, etc. I work a lot so those don't phase me. In my particular situation the neighbors below me are pretty annoying. I'm the above apartment and really can't have any night based function with music playing at even a reasonable volume. That's just the luck of the draw when getting an apartment. How your neighbors act. The staff at the rental office is mostly great except for one woman in particular. She just doesn't know much about the complex and always refers you to read the lease f instead of explaining it herself. It's just very frustrating. Also parking can be hectic. You get two decals but one assigned spot. And one visitor pass. Soo the second and or thirs vehicle have to fend for visitor parking. Visitors can only park in visitor parking with a visitor's pass. Every pass cost $25. So basically if you want 4 visitors over with 4 different vehicles you'll need to buy 3 more passes. $75. THat is my main downfall of the place. You really can't have company because parking is so limited. And the towing company? They have no mercy, they will tow you without hesitation. They tend to not come around for two weeks and let visitors with no passes get comfortable. Then swing around 5 am on a Monday morning and tow everybody. Overall? I like the place. There's just a few factors I would change if I could that really are out of anyone's hands.
