DO NOT LIVE HERE!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!
If you like having a place to park your car and timely responses to communication from the company then this is not the place for you. Polaris advertises garage parking on their website. There is apparently very limited parking in the garage and surrounding area. Not only do they gaslight you into thinking that you will get a spot they will not respond to emails about parking or other topics. I have to park a 10-15 walk from the apartment at the park and ride past a homeless...
shelter. They seem to respond to comments like this with the same reply of you should do research about the area before you move and try some other form of transportation. However, you can do as much research as you want but if you are gaslit into garage parking the surrounding area is not a concern because you don't plan to walk through it at night as a young woman alone. And if you already own a car, the response of basically "don't have a car" and "use public transit" are null when you need a place to put your car. As this is a low income building I feel that the choice to make such limed parking was a reflection on the developers choice, of the belief that people who need to live here are less likely to have cars. So now forget about having guests because any parking that could be used for visitors is taken by tenants who just want to park close to home. People sit and wait for hours in the fire lane just to get a spot next to the building. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are other issues as well, including not being able to receive mail, or packages being left in a locked room when the office closes, and no internet. My only relief comes from the fact that they only do 6 month leases and I don't have to be here much longer.

Bait and switch

- Parking situation is horrendous but I can't complain because we have a garage spot. Can't have guests over because it's unlikely they'll have parking, and even if they find some, they don't want to stay long in fear of being towed.

- The staff are friendly, but good luck getting them to reply to anything - messages in their system, voicemails, emails, etc.

- Polaris doesn't disclose the proximity to Porchlight on their website, we only knew because of other reviews. We often see unhoused...
people openly drinking on property. There are a lot of nightly sirens.

- A security fence was allegedly supposed to be installed in June, but is nowhere to be seen, and there has not been any communication about it

- None of the outdoor amenities are functional aside from the playground, likely because the fence has not been placed. The pictures on the website are concept art.

- an Amazon locker was supposed to be placed in May or June, but it is not installed and everyone's packages are scattered chaotically in the internet cafe instead.

- the buildings won't be wired for ethernet until ???. We mentioned that we both work from home during the tour and we were told it would be installed prior to move in, yet we are tethering from our phones so that we don't get locked into a contract with the cellular wifi plan they suggest

- half the elevators don't work, and my tinfoil hat theory says it's intentional while people move in, which is annoying.

The apartments themselves are great... because they're new and shiny. We are hoping they make good on some of the promises they made or else I feel there will be a mass exodus at the 6 month lease mark.
