Love where I live

The office staff here is the absolute best. Very welcoming at move in, and made it so easy. Audireanna and Tara are amazing! The maintenance staff has fixed every issue I've had promptly showing concern for getting it done. So glad I chose this place to call home!

Amazing location

Renaissance is in a superb location in walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and parks. It is also really close to highway 205, making it easy to drive to Portland or day hike adventures. The gym on the property is fantastic for its accessibility, just a few minute walk to get in a workout before or after work. The rooms are quiet which is ideal if you work online or just want a good nights rest.

Not even qualified for 1 star

I have lived in this complex for 5 years and I am totally unsatisfied, disgusted and furious about the way The Renaissance at 29th facility management team handled and processed my move-out.
The Renaissance at 29th facility management team is full of falsehoods. They are unreliable, untruthful, and impotent. Their record keeping is poor, communication among their own personnel is a mess, no one knows heads or tails and there are only 3 of them.
They tried charging everything that they had to...
replace for the apartment upgrades/renovation on my dime.
They lied about the final rent amount then billed you later for a different amount. Everything is a total fabrication.

We're sad to see you feel this way toward our team, as we work hard to provide nothing but excellent service. We do our best to make all move-out's as smooth as possible, and we apologize if our efforts did not meet your expectations. We have strict... criteria that must be met in order to avoid fees upon move-out, and we're sorry if your unit did not meet this criteria. We appreciate the time you've taken to bring your concerns to our attention, and we'll be sure to take them into serious consideration. We're sorry we couldn't end your stay on a more positive note, and we wish you all the best on your future endeavors.

BEWARE

Don't be fooled by the 5 star rating. If I have a choice, there wouldn't be a star at all.
I lived here since 2013 and just moved out mid-April this year, 2018.
When I left, there were 2 "48-Hours Pre-unit Inspection" and a walk-thru the day before I moved-out. Nothing was mention and as the matter of facts, the maintain lead even told me that my apartment is kept up nicely, carpet is great and so does the counter tops, etc.
Today, 5/14/18, I received an invoice for $1,649.42 for the...
replacement of carpet damages, counter tops damages, vinyl damages and even broken window. In addition, the monthly utilities (water, garbage and common area) that I pay them never more than $70, they charge me $86.60 for the period between 4/1/18-4/15/18.
Also, this place change management like night and day and obvious they are out to get you in any way they can.
Please consider this as a warning..

Poor management, too many kids, very poor experience

The apartments here are okay but the neighbors will make living here a challenge and management will provide no help. Our lease just ended we are very happy to be leaving. The apartment we are in is a 2 story one and the 2nd floor floors are very creaky. Also there are small nails poking out of the floor in the carpet in various places. We learned where not to step but I lost a few socks in the process.

My neighbors seem to all have kids and the grassy areas between apartments become...
playgrounds all summer, weekends and after school. Our windows face onto a parking lot and we were forced to hear kids screaming and riding big wheels all the time. I complained to management about it and around a week later saying the kids playing wasn’t against the rules (it is because I checked in the lease and annoying noises in public spaces is prohibited) but they would send a security officer when the kids were being noisy. After my complaint I repeatedly tried calling to get the security officer sent but the office never once answered my phone. Emails proved ineffective to since they seem to reply to them every 48 hours.

Management here is very apathetic. They use the rules a crutch so they don’t actually have to do their jobs. Anything more than picking up packages and paying rent was always a struggle. Also there is no rent drop box or online payment option so you need to catch someone at the office which isn’t always easy. There is also a mandatory $40 fee monthly to have comcast cable which cannot be bundled with internet. They provide no cable hardware so you need to order a cable box from Comcast to watch tv or else you are paying for nothing.
