THE GOOD The apartments themselves in this building are great, good size with all the features you would want, external facing apartments are very light-filled. Balconies can be loud due to the busy road, but very quiet with the doors closed. The maintenance man who lives on site is a ray of light! He is kind, friendly, helpful, and quick to respond.
THE BAD The problem with this building lies squarely with the management company. HPG Management ignores resident questions and complaints,... emails and voicemails can go weeks without a response, even with regular follow-ups. Serious amenity and safety concerns are raised with no action taken. Not only do they treat residents with contempt but it is clear after years of living in this building that they do not care about upkeep or improvements at all. I lived here for three years and in that time they did literally nothing to improve the complex or make it a more pleasant place to live.
The rooftop sun terrace is a windswept wasteland filled with broken furniture and a hot tub which regularly turns a strange green color.
The elevator regularly breaks down (at least twice a week), and residents are rescued from the elevator by emergency services every few weeks. Again, building management has done nothing to address the fact that the elevator regularly breaks and is a safety hazard, even though this issue has been raised by many residents.
Access to the building is not well-controlled so packages and mail is regularly stolen from the lobby of the building. The mailboxes are so old and unkept that the locks regularly break, leading to your mail being left out in the open for anyone to rummage through. Again, requests for this issue to be addressed were ignored by management, who simply hung a sign asking delivery people to take packages directly to apartment doors (this may have been possible, if the elevator was not consistently broken).
The gym features extremely outdated equipment which doesn't work, and a steam room that doesn't appear to be cleaned more than once a year. The gym was closed due to COVID and never-reopened with no notice from management and no adjustment to rent due to the loss of amenity.
