Major Disappointment
The apartment I am renting is fine enough looking and my view is terrific. The majority of the neighbors I’ve encountered are decent and Q from maintenance is great. Those are the only positives here.
As for the building itself, it’s gross. People’s dogs poop and pee indoors in common areas and it will remain there for several days until someone cleans it up. This happens on patios and balconies as well. The halls can stink very badly at times and not only like pet waste and garbage. Instead of... getting to the root of the issue, staff/maintenance heavily perfumes the entire building, including the gym, to mask it. If you have chemical sensitivities or fragrance sensitives (or just care about your health in general) I would avoid this building.
It’s not uncommon for the parking garage gate to be stuck open for hours or days on end, leaving the building unsecured. Some of the keyless entries are defective, only partially working. Neighbors have said it’s been the way for several months. Some won’t take the code, others won’t read the fobs. With some building doors you need to push a button inside on the wall for the door to allow you to exit. Not sure how that would work if there was an emergency causing no power and you couldn’t access another door.
The manger is sadly and surprisingly kind of awful. I’ll admit, she had me fooled at first! She will be nice to your face (and on the phone) but she is simply telling you what you want to hear. When it comes down to it, she does not keep her word. What she says is going to happen does not happen at all the way she originally claimed it would. Apparently all you need in order to work in leasing is a pulse and no sense of decency is required.
Emails from the office are AI generated. Even lengthy ones. I found this out after copy pasting a multi-paragraph email from “the office” into three separate AI content detectors. I will laugh the day leasing staff is completely replaced by computers.
I should not have expected this place to be any better than it is. It is just another poorly ran, poorly maintained place managed by Cushman & Wakefield to add to the list.
