Honestly just don't....
Moving into a unit, it is clear they don't do any touch ups before allowing the new resident into the unit.
For instance, it seems the previous tenant had damaged the unit and repairs had not been made. I was not told of this.
The towel rack was half torn out of the wall when I stepped into the unit and there was about a 1ft hole in the lower corner of the bedroom wall. On top of this, it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned, as watching a turn over, is seems the apartment does not... hire professional to do cleanings. Just the cheapest offer they can get.
So to sum things up, the apartment is motel 6 quality, and no matter what the staff says they are lying to you if they claim they'll fix it. As any issue they can paint over so to speak, they will do the minimal possible fix.
Not to mention, the show room is nothing like the actual unit you will receive.

Utility bills through the roof
You have never and will never will pay higher utility bills than you will here. Don't believe anything the office tells you about utilities. My daughter and her three roommates just paid $343 just for water and sewer fees for ONE month. That's just water and sewer, not electricity or anything else. I've seen a year's worth of bills so I know what I'm writing about. They blame Conservice for the utilities and say they have nothing to do with it. Find a place with normal billing practices fro... utilities. YOU WILL PAY HIGHER UTILITY BILLS THAN YOU HAVE EVER OR WILL EVER PAY.

We would love to be able to get to the bottom of this, if you could send us a copy of the utility bill we can dig deeper into it. Looking at the utilities sent over to us, I didn't anyone charged that amount even with the electric added. Great apartment for students
I lived here my last semester at Texas State and had almost no issues. Got paired with random roommates and we got along well. Had a few maintenance requests but they fixed them relatively quickly. I really liked the location being just outside of town but also close to west campus. No noise complaints and the rent price is exceptional, although utilities were a little high. Very glad I found a place that offered a 6 month lease as well. Office staff was always very friendly and even remembered... my name. My favorite of the three places I lived in SMTX!

Low quality
I'm surprised at the rating of these apartments when everyone I knew that lived here hated it.. The room I got looked like it wasnt cared for, dirty toilet and shower that the apartments didnt care how it looked. I constantly had issues with my apartment such as running shower, constant a/c issues. Management sucked when I lived there 2020 and I doubt it has changed. There is no roaches, bless but should your apartment have any problems (which is most likely will), the management and maintenance... team suck.
